Our hike up Bell Canyon.

London loved the lake. It was so cold but she didn't care. I finally had to take her out against her will.

After the hike we went back home to enjoy our new back yard. We have loved having our yard in.


We had a fire and made smores. I just love spending time with my family. There is nothing better than cuddling up with my two favorite people next to the fire while eating a yummy smore. I am such a lucky lady.

Hello 911, yes I am having a heart attack!!!!

It started out like any other day. I woke up and made London breakfast, cleaned my house, played with some friends had lunch and then went to put London down for her nap. As I am closing her blinds I looked down into my back yard to admire our nice new grass and this is what I see (Beware what you are about to see is extremely disturbing.)
Yes, it is a huge (in my opinion) SNAKE. Oh how I hate snakes. I called Mike luckily he was doing business near by so he came home. I think he was worried that I might stop breathing.
What a good husband. I begged him to kill it. Sorry to any snake lovers out there but rest assured he would not. He said "I am not that cruel." He walked it the near by Nature Preserve. Now I am scared that it will come back. I don't know how I will ever be able to enjoy my back yard again. I am very sad.

Weekend Update!

Last weekend we took a little trip to Mike's parents cabin. It was dark by the time we got up there and as we were driving up the road Mike asked "Do you see that light up there?" I said yes, it looks like its the cabin. We knew no one else was coming down so I started to get a little scared. So scared I made Mike call the police to come up and walk through the cabin. You know make sure no one was hiding in a closest or anything. After the police gave us the all clear we went inside to get settled in for the night and start our relaxing weekend away. It wasn't five minutes later London tripped on a rug in front of the fire place and whacked her little head on the hearth. It made me so sick I couldn't even look at it. I called for Mike and made him look at it. She cried for only a minute then she was back to her happy self.



Who would have thought that the Band Aide would be the worst part? We tried to put ice on the golf ball sized goose egg but she just wanted to eat it.





The Rug she tripped over and the hearth she whacked her head on. So after all of that it ended up being a great little get away. We took the golf cart mudding and London LOVED LOVED LOVED it. Every time a piece of mud would fly up and hit us she would start laughing so hard she would cry. It was so cute.

I Love Spring!

I just planted my first FLOWER GARDEN and I love it! I was so sad to leave our townhouse but I totally love having a yard so I can plant FLOWERS and VEGETABLES and London can just run around. Anyway I am really proud of myself and I think it turned out nice.

The Old Bait and Switch!

Just now London and I were sitting on the couch looking at our friends blogs. She was eating a marshmallow peep running back and forth on the couch when she came over and put something in my mouth. I wasn't really paying attention so I said thanks and assuming it was a piece of peep I bit down. NOPE NOT A PEEP! It was a pretty good size MUD CLOT that found its way into the house from working in the yard on Saturday. YUMMY!

Happy Easter!

London was so funny at the neighborhood Easter egg hunt. I didn't know if she would understand the concept but she figured it out fast. She picked up all the eggs she could find. I was so proud of her. Then when all the eggs were gone she started sneaking up on other kids baskets and would steal their eggs and then she would take off running.

I hosted a Easter brunch. I was feeling a little ambitious so I made place cards for everyone. I think they turned out super cute.

London was so scared of the Easter Bunny!



Now just a funny little side note.
London's figuring out that she can take her diaper off. She knows its naughty so when she sees me she takes off running.
