Potty Training: Day 1

Today was the first day of potty training. I have to say I am proud of my self. I stayed calm as I cleaned up each accident, that usually happened 1 minute after I asked her if she needed to go. London did better than I expected for the first day. She went in the potty 4 times but she did have 5 accidents. 44% success is good. Right? Anyway I just put her to bed and I am exhausted. If anyone has any great tips on potty training PLEASE let me know.

  1. I know this sucks to hear but just be patience and let them do it. The harder you push them teh harder it is. Trust me it went on way way way too long with Hailey. Good luck. I hope she does well.

  2. That is a good first day! I just say once, you go to undies, don't go back to diapers (except the night until they are dry) Pump em full of juice, soda, water, whatever she likes and try putting her on the potty every 15 min ish until she goes. Then throw the biggest party when she goes. The first 2 days are rough, but once she starts going a lot, then she will recognize the sensation. (but I have boys, so, who knows if my info is reliable:) Good luck!

  3. Yeah what Toni said. I stocked up on lots of yummy drinks then sat them on the potty about every 10-15. Each child is totally different, however. It took my oldest at least six months to be totally potty trained and then my middle son was potty trained within a week or so. Good luck!

  4. I put Caden on the toilet every 10-15 mins. I would just tell him "Lets go potty" and he would go every time. I knew he had to go so I would just tell him and not ask him!! Good luck!!! I gave him a sucker every time he went and by the third time he knew that he gets a sucker after!
